Catfish farming Belarus

Project developers requested Holland Aqua to investigate the viability of a business plan for intensive catfish farming in Svetlogorsk, Belarus.

The objective was to create a modern intensive catfish farm with a total production capacity of 500 tons, with an average production level of 750 kg/m3/year. An inactive fish farming location, no more than a concrete construction, was to be reconstructed in order to house a fish farming unit as well as a processing unit.

Holland Aqua studied the technical and financial feasibility of the business case, performed a market study, studied packaging, distribution and export options, and produced a concept design of an advanced intensive RAS catfish farm, to be constructed with locally sourced materials.

Holland Aqua has extensive experience in performing feasibility studies and formulating business plans for large scale engineering projects.
